A successful woman, whether an entrepreneur or a housewife, marks a difference in the society  and their success will be engraved deep into the roots of patriarchy and oppression faced by women over years. Hence it is important to be vocal about the success of women, no matter which area she has succeeded in.

Gender equality: Apart from being successful, day after day, women have to undergo and break through a lot of constraints that drag them back from moving forward. Chasing a dream is tougher for a woman than a man. Nowadays, the classification of gender identities has extended from just being men and women. The situation of transgender to find a job and be successful is even tougher than women.

Even today, when it comes to a job scenario, in most of the countries, many women are paid less than men, for the equal work they do. According to the studies, there are fewer women in managerial positions at various companies in many countries. This state of lack of recognition and rewards has discouraged many women from progressing as an individual as they are aware that they will not get enough privileges like the men in the society does.

Gender equality is still a hot topic when it comes to business and corporate sectors. However, there are firms out there which consider women as equal as men and treat them equal and fair without any gender discriminations. UAE offers a business environment that supports gender equality. There has been a remarkable increase in the number of women entrepreneurs in UAE with an increasing number of female SME owners across borders, including expats.

UAE recognizes gender equality and women empowerment more than any other country in the MENA region. The UAE government has even pledged $50M to the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative fund in 2017. They have in fact declared gender equality as one of their sustainable development goals.

 Regardless of which country they are from, enormous opportunities are now available for female entrepreneurs in the UAE.

Non-profit organizations like Dubai Business Women Council, initiated by the UAE government, provide education, training and funding opportunities for women in entrepreneurial aspirations.
